Mirage ML2000 Desktop Virtual Tape Autoloader Mirage ML2000 is a hardware virtual tape emulation of an LTO-2 and LTO-3 autoloader with from 1 to 2TB of RAID disk storage. The disk can be partitioned into multiple virtual tape volumes sized to the capacity of the physical archive tape. Mirage ML2000 transfers data from the virtual volume on disk to the physical archive tape with no host intervention, for off-site disaster recovery. The on-site backup on virtual volume provides virtually instantaneous random access single file restores. Hardware VT implementation requires no continuing maintenance and provides superior OS and application software compatibility. Typical install is less than 30 minutes and requires minimum procedure changes and operator training.
